Save a baby or child from sexual abuse - Write your Senator and Get Bill 1738 Passed!

Dear Friend, I want to you for thank you for taking the time to read this blog. Just a few minutes of your time might help rescue a child from sexual abuse.

In American today, thousands of children - some so young they still have the stubble of the umbilical cord - are raped, sodomized, and molested. Some are non-verbal, still wearing diapers and using pacifiers.

Many times they are victimized by people they know and trust - often a father or step-father.

The internet is the "Wild Wild West" for these perpetrators. They share images of their rapes and molestation online. Their pictures and videos are then sent over the internet to other pedophiles who exchange and promote these horrific acts.

The latest trend is to rape children and babies (yes RAPE babies) and broadcast it live over the internet.

They also exchange tips and techniques on sodomizing, how not to get caught, how to get your child to pass a sexual abuse exam, and more. They even exchange digital cartoon videos that teaches young girls how to be sexual and the importance of keeping it a secret. It brainwashes these little girls into thinking this is normal behavior.

Watch the Oprah Video (to the right, just click on it) to see her show on 9/16/08.

There is good news. The FBI has the capabilities to find the pedophiles, arrest them, and ultimately rescue their children from sexual abuse.

Now the sad news. Currently they can only investigate 2% - yes 2% - of these crimes simply because there isn't enough law enforcement workers to investigate these thousands of cases. "We are... drowning in a tidal wave of tragedy," says Wyoming Special Agent Flint Waters, "and we don't have what we need to save these children. Less than 1% of the cases are every even prosecuted.

Here's where you come in. Bill 1738 is set to go before the Senate. This bill will:
  • Authorize over $320 million over the next five years in desperately needed funding for law enforcement to investigate child exploitation.
  • Mandate that child rescue be a top priority for law enforcement receiving federal funding.
  • Allocate funds for high-tech computer software that can track down Internet predators.
Sadly there is some opposition to this bill. For example, U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, M.D. (Republican - Oklahoma) has stated his opposition to the Biden-Hatch bill (S.1738), claiming it is "too expensive." (Source: www.protect.org.

Yes, of course it is expensive but can you put a price on rescuing children from sexual abuse? If your grand-daughter, niece, nephew, or your kid's best friend were being raped every night, would you care how much money it cost to rescue him/her?

So, PLEASE, contact your senator TODAY and voice your support for it. You can e-mail, call or write a letter. It will just a take a few minutes of your time. For complete instructions on how to contact your senator go to:

Please, don't almost write your senator - write him/her today.
